Learn Starting out
Net position
What you have minus what you owe, in one number.

Where you see it
The big number at the top of your overview, with a line showing how it moved over the year.
What it means
Add up the money in your accounts, then take away what you owe on cards and loans. What's left is your net position. It can be below zero, and that's normal when you're starting out or paying off a loan. What matters most is which way it moves from month to month.
Why it matters
It's the simplest way to see whether you're moving forward, even when one month feels messy.
