Statement date
The day your card adds up the month and makes your bill.

Where you see it
The statement date on each card's page, next to the day the payment is due.
What it means
Each month your card closes its statement on about the same day. Everything you bought up to then goes on that bill. Anything you buy after it lands on next month's bill. The balance on that day is usually the one lenders see.
Why it matters
Paying your card down a few days before this date lowers the balance lenders see.
What to do
See your cards in WealthyJack.
Banks call this the statement closing date.
